The production opens at the Donmar Warehouse on 29th November; LondonTow.com offers hotel deals for visitors

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- One of Shakespeare's most political – and resolutely male – tragedies comes to the West End this month, with a refreshing twist: an all-female production. Julius Caesar tells the tale of the fall of this Roman emperor – the conspiracy to murder him and the ensuing political turmoil and struggle for power and control.

The play was most recently produced by the RSC to great success, touring nationally after its established run in Stratford during the summer. But seeing this tale of secrecy, scheming and bids for honour and power will be made all the more intriguing by playing with a female cast.

Director Phyllida Lloyd, best known for helming Mamma Mia! and The Iron Lady, now turns to theatre, and places Dame Harriet Walter as Brutus in her production, which goes up on November 29th and will run until 9th February 2013 at the Donmar Warehouse.

Theatre fans will no doubt be booking ahead for the production, and those planning a trip from outside can expect to find a cheap London hotel with the aid of LondonTown.com, the top website for independent advice, deals and discounts on leisure in London.

Stay right next door to the Donmar at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street, which has doubles rooms at a discount of 48% on the first weekend of December, with prices starting at £289 for this central London 4* experience.

Or why not treat yourself to 5* opulence at the gorgeous and exceptionally well equipped One Aldwych hotel. You'll find discounts of up to 50% at LondonTown.com with rooms available from £375.
